Project Details:
- Roof Strip & Preparation
- We began safely removing all existing roof tiles, battens, and the old felt underlay. Once stripped, the exposed rafters were inspected for any signs of rot or damage, ensuring the structure was sound before reinstallation.
- New Breathable Membrane & Battens
- A high-performance IKO Rubershield breathable membrane was fitted across the entire roof area, providing exceptional weatherproofing and ventilation. New treated timber battens were then installed to precise gauge spacing, ready for tiling.
- Tile Installation
- We re-tiled the roof using high-quality concrete tiles to match the property’s traditional aesthetic while providing modern durability. Each tile was securely fixed in line with current roofing standards to ensure long-term protection from the elements.
- Leadwork & Chimney Repairs
- New lead flashings and soakers were installed around the chimney and adjoining walls to prevent leaks and improve waterproofing. The chimney stack was repointed and sealed for a neat, watertight finish.
- Ridge & Finishing Work
- The ridges were re-bedded and pointed with weatherproof mortar to complete the installation. Once finished, all scaffolding and debris were removed, leaving the property clean and tidy.
