Complete New Roof Project | Langton Green, Tunbridge Wells
Project Overview:
Kingswood Roofing recently completed a full roof renewal at a residential property in Langton Green, Tunbridge Wells. The project involved extensive upgrades across both the pitched roof and dormer/extension flat roof, along with chimney repairs and new roofline components to ensure long-term protection and performance.
Project Details:
Pitched Roof – New Felt & Battens
The existing roof coverings were carefully stripped back to expose the roof structure. New breathable roofing felt and treated timber battens were installed to current standards, providing improved weather resistance and ventilation before the tiles were reinstated.
Dormer / Extension – New Flat Roof
The flat roof covering to the dormer/extension was fully replaced. The old materials were removed, the deck prepared, and a brand-new high-performance flat roofing system installed to create a durable, watertight finish with clean, crisp edges.
Chimney Repointing
The chimney stack was inspected and repointed where required. Loose and deteriorated mortar joints were raked out and replaced, improving stability and preventing water ingress around this vulnerable area.
New Soffits & Fascias
New soffits and fascias were fitted to refresh the roofline and provide long-lasting protection. This not only improves the appearance of the property but also helps safeguard the roof structure against moisture and decay.
